Karen Millen brand – Brand introduction

Brand Karen Millen was founded in 1981 by designer Karen Millen in partnership with Kevin Stanford. In 1983, Karen Millen opened its first store in Maidstone, Kent, a southeastern county of England. Only a few years later, the brand had a branch in Tunbridge Well, Brighton, Guildford and London. The brand continued to expand throughout the 1990s and was acquired by Iceland Mosaic Fashion Company in June 2004. In 2009, Fashion Mosaic stopped working and Karen Millen was transferred to Aurora Fashions. In March 2011, Karen Millen separated from Aurora Fashions and formed her own company. Currently, Karen Millen has 350 stores and branches in 65 countries, including 100 stores in the UK and 250 stores globally. Karen Millen’s products are mainly branded clothes, jackets and event suits for women. Collection of brands designed by craftsmen with meticulous details. Using couture techniques inspired by classic and classic fabrics, each design of Karen Millen has its own stories. Under the direction of Gemma Metheringham Creative Director, the brand produces two main collections and two pre-season collections.
